IMSCA’s legislative initiative, SB 3052 seeking retainage reform was heard in the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday. I’m happy to report our bill was passed by the committee on the condition that we come back to committee with an amendment to address some of the committee’s concerns and questions. I will keep everyone updated as we continue to move our bill forward.
I would like to offer a special thanks to IMSCA member Karsten Pawlik and IMSCA General Counsel Jim Rohlfing who provided testimony to the committee and for participating in the spirited debate we had with our opponents. Additionally, I would like to thank all of our IMSCA members who responded to our Call to Action and reached out to your elected officials. Our joint efforts made a difference, and I look forward to our continued work on SB 3052.
