Dear Members, It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we at ASA Chicago inform you of the passing of our recent Executive Director, Sharon Topel. Sharon passed away late yesterday evening after a courageous battle with cancer. Sharon served ASA Chicago for fifteen years during which Our Association experienced tremendous change and growth. She brought abundant enthusiasm and joy to her work and always was advocating on behalf of Subcontractors and the betterment of the industry. Sharon had a keen eye for talent and recruited many members to serve on committees-where we learned, made contacts and had fun. Sharon developed close bonds and lifelong friendships with many of us. Sharon is survived by her husband Sam, her three sons and their families.
